Freedom the Horse!
Hi, my name is Freedom. I was born on August 9th, 2012 at Freedom Hill Horse Rescue in Dunkirk, MD. I am a mustang colt and my mom's name is Liberty. She's a grullo colored mustang, and I think she's the best. My dad, a black mustang, is named El Dorado. My whole family was rescued by the nice ladies at Freedom Hill Horse Rescue on September 11th, 2011 from a bad place where there wasn't any food. My family ate the bark and leaves off the trees just to have something to eat! My auntie Takoda was nursing her baby, Apple, and an orphaned foal, Maverick, both at the same time because Maverick's mommy died from starvation.
After my family came to Freedom Hill, they grew healthy and happy and found their adoptive forever homes. Everyone was excited to learn that my mom, Liberty, was going to have a baby....me! Before I was even born our trainer, Jason, said he wanted to adopt me! I've learned so much in the past year watching Jason train my mommy. I know how to cross bridges, walk over tarps and I've even had a saddle on my back. I can't wait to go on trail rides when I grow up a little more. I love my new home and I am very grateful that my family was saved.
